How a staff-free gym works
A small subscription gym in a residential neighborhood. There is not a single employee in the gym: the app grants access, the intercom panel opens the door, payment is charged automatically.
The member journey: five steps
Sees a QR code
A QR code on the door and on the stand at the entrance leads to the app download.
Downloads the app
Sign-up inside the app, no calls and no visit to the club.
Buys access
A single visit or a monthly subscription, paid by card in the app, then billed automatically.
Books a slot
The schedule keeps capacity: 1 person per 10 m².
Opens the door
The “Enter the gym” button on the app home screen opens the door. No keys or cards.
The funnel works around the clock and does not depend on a person: a member can come at night, pay and start training, and the money is already in the account. At the launch of the live gym, 25% of those who installed the app bought a subscription.

Access control
One panel at the door instead of a turnstile and reception
The Akuvox E12 IP intercom panel: a budget solution, and it is enough. The door controller and reader are built into the panel, and it is rated for outdoor use (IP65, -40 to +65 °C).
- Opening from the app: the “Enter the gym” button
- Backup methods: PIN, Mifare card, BLE and NFC
- Access is granted and revoked automatically based on the subscription
- Cameras are part of the access kit
No need for a turnstile, a separate access controller, an operator workstation, or issuing and tracking cards.
